Climate Conversations: Strategic Climate Change Communications

Climate Conversations: Strategic Climate Change Communications

Join Climate Conversations for engaging discussions, presentations and calls to action to address climate change in our community.

For the October 8 meeting, Paige Dolci and Rishya Narayana of Mass Audubon will discuss communicating about climate change with a specific focus on the value of nature and nature-based solutions to climate change.  This presentation will be followed by a general discussion including action items for the group.

About the speakers:

Rishya is a multimedia science communicator with an MS in Media Advocacy from Northeastern University, specializing in Environmental Science Communications and Policy. In her current role as Climate Change Communications Manager at Mass Audubon, Rishya is responsible for developing and managing multimedia climate content to motivate broad audiences to fight climate change and help the organization build a cohesive climate community. Prior to Mass Audubon, she worked in informal education and policy advocacy at the New England Aquarium as an Educator and at Save the Harbor/Save the Bay as their Communications and Public Relations Coordinator. Rishya also interned for PBS science series, NOVA, and was awarded a 2019 Rapport Public Policy Fellowship, which she served at the Massachusetts Division of Marine Fisheries.

Paige Dolci, Climate Resilience Coordinator at Mass Audubon, performs outreach and provides technical assistance to municipalities on low impact development and using nature to create more climate resilient, healthy communities. Before joining Mass Audubon, Paige's work focused on organizing and cultivating support for urban and rural pollinator plantings. She holds a BA in Environmental Science from Boston University.
