For November's meeting: Melissa Joyce, Chelmsford's Sustainability Director, will talk about projects the town is planning and what has already been accomplished. We hope to learn how C-CAT can work with her.

Melissa Joyce has been the Sustainability Manager for the Town of Chelmsford for just over a year. Previously, she worked as the Director of Facilities at Walnut Hill School in Natick, MA. She received her BS in History and in Environmental Science from Mount Holyoke Collegeand received her MBA and MA in Environmental Science from Clark university. Her work in municipalities, food service, and education has afforded her a breadth of experience focused on operations, with an eye towards sustainability. She prides herself on collaborative work with various stakeholders to identify win-win scenarios that strike a balance between fiscal and environmental efficiency. Outside of work, you will find her in the woods somewhere, hiking with her partner Ian and their two dogs or riding her new motorcycle.
