Owner, Steve Hale, holds university degrees in marine biology, evolutionary biology, and ecology.  He has lived in New Hampshire over 20 years and has explored most of the state.  An avid hiker, birder, and experienced naturalist, Steve loves to share his experience and knowledge with others.

This presentation reviews New England birds that can be identified with confidence without binoculars - if you know what to look for. When up close binocular views are not available, certain behaviors, habitats, seasonality and other factors can provide confidence for your identification. Learn to identify several birds of prey, including Bald Eagles by their flight styles; Great Blue Herons by their slow shallow wingbeats, and more.
