Genealogical Literacy: What Every Genealogist Needs to Know
Lecture Description:
Genealogists pick up many skills as they build their family trees, just like anything in life. There are good habits, and there are bad habits that can have a cascading effect on your work. Researchers achieve Genealogical Literacy when they possess the basic and necessary skills required to conduct genealogical research. When researchers understand the basics, they build the confidence to advance their research and tackle more advanced brick-wall problems. The presentation will review the foundational elements every genealogical researcher should know at the beginner and intermediate levels of analysis.
