This lecture will follow in the footsteps of the Beatles as they embark on the creation of their 8th studio album – “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band."  We will explore the genesis of how the songs were written, their influences, recording and production techniques and the iconic cover art.  In addition, we will discuss its legacy that not only defined the counterculture of a generation but whose musical landscape continues to influence contemporary society.

Vinnie Bruno retired as Director of First Year Programs at LaGuardia Community College (City University of New York).  He holds an MPA from Baruch College and, as an adjunct professor for 25 years, taught courses in numerous disciplines including Humanities, Business and Mathematics.  He currently resides in both New Jersey and Arizona.

As a Beatles Scholar and storyteller, Vinnie Bruno promises to embrace the Beatles' legacy while presenting entertaining, interactive, and informative programs for both the casual listener and hard-core Beatles fans.

Beatles scholar Vinnie Bruno will be online with us for a presentation on the making of one of the most iconic records in music history, The Beatles' Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
