Adventures in Seed Transplanting with Seeds2Plate

Adventures in Seed Transplanting with Seeds2Plate

Please note that this is a virtual event. Please register to receive the link to join.

Summer is for fresh vegetables from the garden. When they come from your garden, they taste even better! This class will discuss sources for veggie seedlings, what to look for when buying them as well as when and how to transplant them for success.  Care, feeding and protecting them after transplanting will also be discussed.

Wait - there's more! Judith will also provide registrants with their own tomato seedlings to put what she teaches into practice in their own yards! Register for the class and then visit Judith's seedling shop at seeds2plate.com/product-category/tomato/ to take a look at the selection. We'll contact everyone registered for the event to find out which they would be most interested in, and when they can come in to pick up their tasty new plant! Please contact Jessica at jfitzhanso@chelmsfordlibrary.org with questions.

About the presenter: Bio: Judith Taylor has been gardening in Massachusetts for over 25 years and is a graduate of the UMass Green School and has attended The Seed Savers Exchange Seed School. She has hands on experience with growing all sorts of perennials, fruits, and vegetables as well as landscape design. Her passion is to share knowledge with new gardeners as well as exchanging tips and tricks with those more experienced. She is using her experience from teaching classes at many local universities to spread the word on seed starting, growing and saving to inspire people to get hooked on gardening! In her spare time, she manages the Littleton Seed Library and coordinates an annual seed share program for her garden club. Last summer she participated in The Seed Savers Exchange Renew Program in which she started tomatoes from seed in the Spring and returned them to SSE in the Fall. Her hope is that some of those seeds will end up in the International Seed Vault in Norway! Visit her website and her seedling store at seeds2plate.com
