Mystery Book Discussion Group
Join the MacKay Mystery book group as we investigate a new novel each month, evaluating style, characters, and setting. This month we’re reading Sidney Chambers and the Shadow of Death, by James Runcie, which introduces readers to the unconventional clergyman Sidney Chambers, who teams up with roguish Inspector Harry Keating to investigate a suspicious suicide, a jewelry theft, the unexplained demise of a jazz promoter, and a shocking art forgery. Pick up a copy of the book at the Main library or request to have one brought out to you at curbside.
This group has met at the MacKay branch library, in the Anna MacKay room for many years. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, the group is meeting on Zoom.
