Climate change is perhaps the most prominent of the global threats we currently face. A recent report by the UN, warns that  “unless actions are taken immediately,” the projected emissions “may lead to a temperature rise of about 2.7C by the end of the century” along with an end to all semblance of life as we know it today.

Michael Sales offers a glint of good news that thousands of science-based and heartfelt efforts are underway worldwide to solve the problems faced by humanity.  The "Security and Sustainability Guide" is an effort to catalog these inspiring activities and to reveal the contours of an enormous system of sanity that can lead humankind toward a rational management of our shared “Spaceship
Earth.”
