Virtual Social Justice Book Group: When They Call You a Terrorist: A Black Lives Matter Memoir by Patrisse Khan-Cullors and asha bandele on Zoom
In our new Social Justice Book Group we will be addressing civic engagement and reading an array of titles about identity, equality, justice, the environment, and much more. Our current vision is to read books that get us thinking and talking about how we as a community can move towards a more socially just future. In addition to book discussions, the group will host speaker programs and presentations themed around the selected book titles. To start things off we will be reading Patrisse Khan-Cullors' When They Call You a Terrorist: A Black Lives Matter Memoir which is also available as a YA adaptation. Print and/or audiobook copies will be available at the main library; you may pick up a copy in person, or by using our curbside pickup option. In addition the ebook and audiobook versions may be available on OverDrive. The audiobook is available through Hoopla for Chelmsford residents and employees.
