Watch This! Film discussion group
Join librarians Jess, Lisa and Jeff for a movie discussion! Each month we will choose a film adapted from a book. Often these films will be a part of our Kanopy film streaming service, otherwise there will be copies of the film available at the main circulation desk. For November, we will be watching and discussing the film I Capture the Castle starring Rose Byrne, Romola Garai, Bill Nighy, and Henry Cavill. The coming of age story set in 1930s England follows 17-year-old Cassandra Mortmain, and the fortunes of her eccentric family, struggling to survive in a decaying English castle. Reading the novel by Dodie Smith (also author of The Hundred and One Dalmatians!) alongside the film is optional.
