Climate Conversations: Reducing Your Carbon Footprint for 2021

When it comes to solving the climate change crisis, everyone starts at a different place. We do what we can, based on our means and our situations.

Discussing climate change with others is perhaps the most important action one can take toward solving the problem. At January’s climate conversation we invite you to hear from a number of residents who have taken different steps at their homes to adapt to and mitigate climate change.

Come and learn from your neighbors and see if some of their ideas work for you. Learn some tips, ask questions and perhaps, offer advice as we help each other reduce greenhouse gases in Chelmsford.

Learn different ways you can become part of the solution. Some people purchase an electric vehicle, or choose to reduce use of fossil fuels by advocating for better public transportation. Other ways are planting trees, installing heat pumps or solar panels, opting up to more renewable energy in Chelmsford Choice (the towns electrical aggregation plan) or joining a Community Solar Farm. Come and see what might work for you.

Climate Conversations is an informal group sponsored by CCAT and the Chelmsford Public Library. We meet on the second Thursday of each month using Zoom to share our concerns about Climate Change. Public invited. Meetings most often include guest speakers. We share a commitment to climate legislation, advocacy and education in our community to prevent the harmful effects of climate change and protect our planet. Please reach out to us if you have any questions or concerns or wish to become active in CCAT. More information can be found on the Chelmsford Climate Action Team website.
