Climate Conversations

Join members of the Chelmsford Climate Action Team (C-CAT) and the Massachusetts Chapter of Elders Climate Action for discussions and action to address climate change in our community.

For the August meeting, CC welcomes Diane Sherratt-Steimel. Dianne is a filmmaker and currently works at Chelmsford Telemedia (CTM). She will be showing her latest documentary, "Troubled Waters: Fighting Pollution in the Merrimack River.”  Dianne came to CTM in 2015, after working in the commercial news business featuring stints at WABG, HMTV 6, and News 12 NJ – as well as a brief stint at HC Media in Haverhill. In addition to helping volunteers and community producers, Dianne produces and hosts CTM NewsBreak, a bi-weekly news brief. She runs the Parker School TV Club. Her documentary, "Troubled Waters," highlights the problems of pollution affecting the Merrimack River -- a source of water as well as recreation, and the habitat for many wildlife species.

Climate Conversations is an informal group sponsored by members of the Chelmsford Climate Action Team (C-CAT) and the Chelmsford Public Library. We meet on the second Thursday of each month in the McCarthy Meeting Room to share our concerns about Climate Change. Public invited. Meetings may include guest speakers, film screenings or book discussions to provide information and stimulate conversations on what we can do as individuals and as a community to reduce climate change and promote climate change legislation.
