Learn about the foods, habits and supplements which make the biggest difference to the delivery system (aka our cardiovascular system) which supplies our entire body with the resources to live.  Briefly, learn what the labs mean and to which ones we aren’t paying enough attention.  Research shows that nutrition and natural interventions can provide sizable, objective shifts — as well as protection — for quality of life and health-span.

Anastasia O'Malley grew up in a family where fresh garlic, onions, herbal tea, dried fruit, roots, spices, etc. were utilized to feel better and to stay healthy. She was encouraged to drink water, stretch, take a nap and eat before reaching for over-the-counter medicine. She was also encouraged to be curious, explore & appreciate what are now called "STEM" subjects. So it makes a sort of sense that she ended up studying the hows and whys behind food and nutrient effects on the body (including the brain). Over 6,000 peer reviewed articles in scientific journals now support her grandmothers' uses of garlic. Her husband and children would say that she talks more about turmeric & vitamin D than garlic these days, but they each have their own purposes!

LIRA is a multi-faceted educational program for the retired and semi-retired, for which there are neither educational nor age requirements. LIRA's philosophy is to provide, at a modest cost, college-level learning experiences for all its members, regardless of previous educational background.
