Bibliobites is a book group with a culinary focus. We read a combination of cookbooks, culinary memoirs, and food-centric fiction. We often pick a theme for a meeting and encourage members to try recipes related to the theme. We do not discourage members from bringing in those recipes for taste-testing!  This month: for our combined November/December meeting, we'll be baking our way through the twentieth century with Dylan Hollis' Baking Yesteryear.  With heaping cupfuls of humor and sass, we'll work our way through decades of "classics" like avocado pie, peanut butter styrofoams, chocolate sauerkraut cake, and a gelatin mold or three.  But not to worry, less-quirky choices also abound!  Copies are available at the main circulation desk or via curbside pickup.

Please note: we will meet at the MacKay branch (43 Newfield St., N. Chelmsford) for this event!

This meeting will feature a potluck taste-testing of recipes from the book.  Info about signups will go out to those on the mailing list about two weeks before the event. If you would like to participate but are not on the mailing list, please contact group leader Andrea Grant at agrant@chelmsfordlibrary.org. We'll also have a cookbook swap: bring in one or more books that you no longer use, and swap for one you'd like to try.  Any leftover books will be donated to the library book sale.
