Hands-only CPR

Hands-only CPR

Did you know that an estimated 436,000 people die from cardiac arrest each year? Approximately 350,000 of these individuals die before even reaching the hospital. For an individual suffering cardiac arrest, every second counts. There may not be enough time for an individual to receive professional medical care before they suffer permanent damage, or even death. High quality CPR has the potential to save someone's life by keeping them alive until Emergency Services can arrive on scene. Please join us at the Chelmsford Public Library to learn this vital skill at no cost to you, and potentially save someone's life. No certification will be provided.

Here is a little bio of me:

Hey all! I'm Agastya, a Senior in high school and a CPR Instructor with the American Red Cross. I am the President of the Chelmsford High School Red Cross Club and a member of the Red Cross Youth Leadership Program. Through working with Red Cross leaders, I've realized how important it is that our community is prepared for any disaster, whether it be a house fire, tornado, or sudden cardiac arrest. For this reason, I've been teaching disaster preparedness topics, like hands only CPR, at various organizations in Chelmsford. I hope to see you at one of my presentations!
