"Real Reads" - a Non-fiction Book Club

"Real Reads" - a Non-fiction Book Club

Registration is required. There are 11 in-person seats available. There are 20 online seats available.

Real Reads is our new non-fiction reading discussion group. We will explore excellent authors and world-changing ideas on urgent issues affecting the globe and our own back yards. We will meet every fourth Saturday at 3 p.m. in person in the Conference Room. Online access via Zoom is available by request.

In May, we will revisit Free the Land by Audrea Lim. We missed discussing this book due to circumstances, so let's talk about it! You can find copies of the book on reserve at the main desk.

Free the Land examines the rarely-questioned practice of land held and exploited for profit. This practice is a quite literal foundation where many of our most urgent social problems intersect, including poverty, environmental degradation, and climate change.
