"Real Reads" - a Non-fiction Book Club- HYBRID
Real Reads is our new non-fiction reading discussion group. We will explore excellent authors and world-changing ideas on urgent issues affecting the globe and our own back yards.
We will meet every fourth Saturday at 3 p.m. in person in the Conference Room and virtually on Zoom.
This month, we will discuss The Star Builders: Nuclear Fusion and the Race to Power the Planet by Arthur Turrell. It is the true story of the race to build a "star" on Earth. Entrepreneurs, scientists, and government entities are exploring controlled fusion, a potentially revolutionary nuclear technology whose advocates promise seemingly endless clean energy.
