Louisa's Girls
This live, one-woman, multi-character production offers a challenging and creative take on Louisa May Alcott's Little Women.
The audience will be mesmerized as Lynne Moulton, the actress, transforms herself from Marmee, to Jo, to Meg with a sudden voice change, a twist of her body or simple wave of a fan. The book wrapped up in a magnificent performance! Ms. Moulton will open up for discussion with the audience after the performance
The Delvena Theatre Company was founded in 1992 by a group of working actors. In 1996, the company moved to The Boston Center for the Arts on historic Tremont Street in the bourgeoning South End. In 1997 the company produced the American premiere of Stephen King's stage version of his novel, Misery. The company received the prestigious Boston Center for the Arts resident company spotlight award for Misery. Delvena has produced the American premieres of Henry V, Pulped. and the New England premieres of Anna Weiss and Caryl Churchill's Blue Heart. Since 2003, Delvena has created "edutainment" performances for non-traditional venues like schools, colleges, libraries, historical societies, senior centers, housing and private organizations
This performance is funded in part by a grant from the Chelmsford Cultural Council, which is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a State Agency.
