Bibliobites Book Group
Bibliobites is a book group with a culinary focus. We read a combination of cookbooks, culinary memoirs, and food-centric fiction. We often pick a theme for a meeting and encourage members to try recipes related to the theme. We do not discourage members from bringing in those recipes for taste-testing! This month: take a break from cooking and lose yourself in the fictional world of Bake Week with Jessa Maxwell's whodunit, The Golden Spoon. Six contestants vie for top honors in a baking competition that turns deadly. But, who's the victim, and who's the killer? And why? If you want to bake something sweet after reading about all those luscious desserts, try your hand at some of the British Bake Off's recipes with a title from that popular competition. No time? Don't like to bake? No worries-- just settle back with a cup of tea and enjoy the murder mystery! Copies are available at the main circulation desk or via curbside pickup.
