Native American Archaeology in New England

Please note: This is a hybrid program. If you would like to view the program via Zoom, please register to receive a link to join.

Native American archeology sites are often hidden for a myriad of reasons. Through this public program, people realize that we have more than Native American place names. This program brings our local landscape alive by looking at why people have been attracted to the local rivers for over 7,000 years. Through the artifacts and excavations of local archaeological sites, people can look beyond the glare of the modern to the contours of the land and understand more about the indigenous people and why they were attracted to this area. This program uses google slides and hands-on artifacts to bring archaeology alive.
